What is an Electric Vehicle?

Electric Vehicles (EVs) are vehicles that are fully, or partially powered by an electric motor instead of an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE). There are many types of EVs – pure-electric vehicles, hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in electric vehicles etc.

Vanzey offers Commercial EVs and charging solutions that can both help you save costs for your business, and save the environment.

60,000 charging points island wide

Why should I get an EV now?

Singapore aims to phase out ICE vehicles and have all vehicles run on cleaner energy by 2040. Under the Singapore Green Plan 2030 (SGP30), the government has a comprehensive EV Roadmap to ramp up efforts for EV adoption. This includes making the cost of buying EVs more attractive and ensuring accessible charging infrastructure. We can expect up to 60,000 EV charging points island-wide by 2030!

  • An EV emits half the amount of CO2 as compared to a similar vehicle powered by ICE.
  • EVs are more energy efficient as they convert over 77% of electrical energy to power the wheels. Conventional gasoline vehicles only convert about 12%–30% of the energy stored in gasoline to power at the wheels.
